Integrated Neighbourhood Working is the approach being used to bring together teams across different and diverse organisations to wrap the right care and support around residents within their neighbourhoods. Integrated neighbourhood working is being rolled out differently across the four Places and 19 neighbourhoods in BLMK, the approach being taken is organic and based on the demonstrated need and priorities in each neighbourhood. In Central Bedfordshire we have four distinct neighbourhoods, Chiltern Vale, Ivel Valley, Leighton Buzzard and West Mid Beds and our vision is a team of teams working together to deliver timely, personalised care and support in each neighbourhood.
To understand the infrastructure of Central Bedfordshire and what is already available we have started to map the physical assets for each neighbourhood. Assets and resources can be used to build communities, solve problems and meet needs and the process aims to discover the links between the different parts of the community, organisations and services to rediscover and refresh relationships and community networks. The list of assets shown on the map is not exhaustive.
