What is Diabetes

Diabetes is a long-term condition caused by too much glucose, a type of sugar, in the blood. There are two main types of diabetes: Type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is far more common than type 1. In the UK, approximately 90% of all adults with diabetes have type 2.
