NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated care Board has confirmed the appointment of a new associate non-executive member.

Lorraine Mattis has a background in healthcare. A board director with over 20 years’ experience in the NHS and voluntary, community, social enterprise sector (VCSE), she is working currently in dentistry and also leads on transformation. Lorraine brings a wealth of senior leadership experiences within healthcare in the acute sector, community services and primary care.

Reflecting on her new role, Lorraine commented:

“I’m delighted to be joining the ICB as an associate non-executive member.  I’m passionate about driving health equality and would like to make a difference to the lives of local people living in the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes   community”.

Confirming Lorraine’s appointment, Rima Makarem, Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board’s chair, said:

“I am delighted that we have been able to attract Lorraine to join our ICB.  Her extensive experience, which covers a wide variety of sectors and settings, will bring invaluable insight to our board discussions as we set about delivering on our ambitions to improve health and care services for the people of Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.”

Following Royal Assent of the Health and Care Act, 2022 in April this year, the Integrated Care Board was established as a legal entity on 1 July 2022.
