Anne Brierley has been appointed as the Chief Transformation Officer of the NHS Bedfordshire, Luton, and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board.

Anne has held several senior leadership positions throughout her career across community, mental health and hospital settings. She has developed strong partnerships with local authorities and primary care partners and has developed multi agency frailty units and hospital at home.

She has also delivered clinical and operational collaborations and worked as an acute provider collaborative director – across sixteen clinical networks, procurement, pharmacy and recruitment.

With an MBA in Business Administration and NHS Transformation, Anne is currently the Chief Operating Officer at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she has worked throughout the Covid Pandemic.

Speaking about her appointment Anne said:

“I am proud to have been appointed as the Chief Transformation Officer in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes and I’m looking forward to getting started – working with partners to help all communities in our area to thrive.”

Confirming Anne’s role as Chief Transformation Officer, Felicity Cox, Chief Executive of the Integrated Care Board said:

“This is a crucial time for the NHS as we emerge from the Pandemic and look to not only recover services for those who need care now, but also for the generations to come who will want to access health and care differently.

“Anne’s experience, gained in acute and community settings, will really help us to think differently about the challenges we face and how we can help people to live longer lives in better health. I am looking forward to welcoming Anne to the team.”

Anne Brierley will join the Integrated Care Board on 30 September 2022.
