The BLMK DiSC Programme Team are running a fully-funded pilot for 12 months with a targeted number of residential care settings across the neighbourhood.

An AI-powered smart ceiling lamp designed specifically to detect, predict, and prevent falls among older adults

Nobi is a smart ceiling light designed for care environments such as care homes and assisted living settings. It uses AI-powered technology to detect falls instantly and alert caregivers within seconds, ensuring help arrives quickly. The light also prevents falls through features like automatic lighting and night illumination – reducing disorientation and supporting resident safety.

Beyond fall detection, Nobi provides smart care insights including sleep patterns, activity monitoring, and behavioural alerts. These insights help caregivers deliver more proactive and personalised care while reducing the need for intrusive in-person checks. Research suggests Nobi detects 100% of falls, improves response times, and significantly reduces fall incidents in care environments by allowing caregivers to review how a fall took place.

Overall, Nobi creates a safer, more dignified environment for residents while supporting care teams with actionable information and automated safety responses.
