As of 1 July 2022, the Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for all funding for healthcare across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.

Financial framework

A financial framework will support and enable the delivery of our strategic priorities. This framework will set out how we will allocate resources over time against priority areas – protecting and prioritising investment in prevention, incentivising population health, and supporting the devolution of activity.

Working collaboratively as Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes (BLMK) Integrated Care System (ICS), we will need to ensure the health and care system is affordable and sustainable. We will invest in schemes that support recovery of our health system, reduce waiting lists while still focusing on improving service quality, and improving outcomes and reducing health inequalities for our populations.
