New Non Executive Director opportunity at Bedfordshire Hospitals
Home » New Non Executive Director opportunity at Bedfordshire Hospitals
Bedfordshire Hospitals is looking for a new Non-Executive Director to join the Trust.
As a Non-Executive Director, you will work alongside our Chair, Richard Sumray, other non-executive, and executive directors as an equal member of the Board of Directors. With them, you will be responsible for the strategic development of the Trust and its performance, enabling the delivery of high quality services for patients.
We are looking for someone who has considerable experience at a senior level in areas like finance, commerce, legal, property, central and local government, the third sector, and health.
We are interested in hearing from people from a range of backgrounds who understand the needs and priorities of their local communities and can hold the confidence of patients and the public. As they are under-represented in chair and non-executive roles we particularly welcome approaches from women, people from the local black and minority ethnic, and LGBTQ communities, and disabled people.
The role will require a commitment of three days a month.
Chair Richard Sumray said: “We firmly believe that our Trust belongs to the community – both the people we care for and the staff who work here – and we are looking for someone who will feel inspired and motivated by our values and commitment to deliver excellent services to our patients.”
With more than 9,000 passionate and dedicated staff, Bedfordshire Hospitals provides acute and some community services to a diverse population of over 620,000 people in Luton and Bedfordshire and we are proud to be rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, after successfully merging Bedford Hospital and Luton & Dunstable University Hospitals to create our Trust two years ago.
