Update on Wenlock Street Surgery

Further to our announcement last week that Wenlock Street Surgery will close on 28 July, following the resignation of Dr Saleh, the sole GP partner for the surgery, a list of questions and answers have been provided to support residents.

We understand that this is a worrying time for some patients who have been with the practice for a long time and are concerned about access to care when the practice closes at the end of this week.

The ICB is working closely with Dr Saleh and his staff to ensure the safe transfer of patients to local practices, which is the only way we can ensure continued access to primary care within the timescale available.

We are supporting Dr Saleh and his team with additional clinical and management staff until the practice closes and our focus is on making sure all residents are supported to access quality health and care services.

Answers to important questions being raised can be found at www.blmkhealthandcarepartnership.org/your-health-and-care/find-a-service/your-primary-care/wenlock-street-surgery-luton.
